World Book Day
Today we all celebrated World Book Day by ‘wearing our comfies to school and bringing a book’.
We started our celebrations by holding a book swap where everyone was able to go home with a new book.
Next up all the pupils in Mrs. Coyle’s class read a book to a younger child, which they had practiced. They had also created a worksheet on the book for their partner to complete. The younger children loved being read to and responded very well to the work set for them.
To copy one of our favourite book characters from the ‘Where’s Wally?’ series, the older pupils hid a Wally character for the younger children to find.
To finish our celebrations, we all spent time reading our favourite book in comfort.
Happy World Book Day everyone.
