Over the last few months Mrs. Coyle’s class have been learning all about the Titanic. We have learned many facts and figures relating to the tragic story and have connected our learning to many subject areas.
In Literacy we read a novel- ‘My Story-The Titanic’ where we learned all about Margaret who sailed in first class to America, we have worked on recount writing pretending we are a passenger on the boat, and we completed persuasive posters to advertise the Titanic, based on those from the time. In Art we designed and created models of the ship and in World Around Us we had fun completing experiments relating to floating and sinking. Pupils reported that this has been one of their most favourite topics. Great learning Y4, Y5, Y6 and Y7.
