Celebrating Grandparents’ Day and St Brigid's Day
To celebrate the occasion of Catholic Schools week we had a gathering in school on Wednesday 31st January. We invited our grandparents to a special assembly where the pupils prayed and sang for our grannies and grandas.
During the assembly we remembered our patron saint, St. Brigid and afterwards we made crosses in her honour.
Grandparents and parents passed the old tradition of cross making on to the younger generation and all present went home with a cross.
Irene treated us all to delicious scones and tea- a memorable morning for all present. We thank all our parents and grandparents for attending and all our pupils for creating and presenting beautiful cards to their grandparents.
