The eco-council, along with the pupils have been very busy gardening over the last weeks and months. They have weeded, planted and looked after flowers and vegetables whilst making the school environment more attractive.
We are proud to say we have been awarded a Level One and Two certificate for School Gardening from RHS.
Sincere thanks to Paula for applying for the awards and completing the necessary paperwork. As a result we have been gifted a beautiful book on gardening and a calendar.
For Level 1 we all planted sunflowers in pots and took them home a few weeks later and Mrs McBride’s class scattered wild flower seeds.
As part of Level 2 we submitted evidence of how we planted vegetables in our compost bed and what basic skills we had learned.
