On Friday 24th May, Mrs. Coyle's class visited our local river, Glenelly River, to complete a River Study in conjunction with Loughs Agency.
We had a thoroughly enjoyable and highly educational afternoon, facilitated by Jack and Aoife from the Loughs Agency.
We measured the width and depth of the water; completed a litter pick collection and identified a vast variety of insects. We even caught young trout and an endangered eel. All animals were safely returned to their natural environment.
Well done to all the boys and girls who were so well behaved and responsible during the field trip.
