As part of the National Lottery Rural Heritage Programme, we were given the opportunity to visit Butterlope Farm last week. Although it was a wet and blustery day, we had an enjoyable and informative day. The pupils learned all about the old ways of working with wool, heard about old time farming techniques and saw many old artefacts. They saw many breeds of sheep and learned all about them and had the chance to see and taste some of the farm’s homegrown produce. Thanks to Annie, Vinnie and all the staff of Butterlope for an educational and fun day.
